Authenticator app multi-factor authentication

Registered users can protect their account with an authenticator app, while invited guests can still use their secure document link without creating an account.

Steps to follow

  1. 1

Open Profile, then find Multi-Factor Authentication in the Security section.

  2. 2

Choose Enable MFA, scan the QR code with an authenticator app, and verify the current 6-digit code.

  3. 3

After MFA is enabled, password and supported social sign-ins require the authenticator challenge before the protected application opens.

  4. 4

A registered signer with MFA enabled must complete the challenge before signing. The secure invitation returns them to the exact document afterward.

  5. 5

An invited guest may choose Continue as Guest and sign through the secure, expiring document link. Guest signing does not become an account login and does not weaken recipient, document, or email checks.

  6. 6

To turn MFA off, return to Profile and confirm a current authenticator code. If the authenticator is lost, use account recovery or contact Support.

  7. 7

Signrrett records whether an authenticated or guest context completed signing, but never stores authenticator secrets or verification codes in document audit metadata.
